Background:

Situated in the northwest of Leicester, the school is set in grounds including two playgrounds, a grassed area and a large playing field. The pleasant modern building contains two libraries, two halls, a resources room and a computer suite with internet access. The highest standards are offered and expected across the curriculum. Support for the above average number of children with special educational needs includes providing them with a positive and safe environment in which to achieve their potential. It is the only school in Leicestershire with a unit for hearing-impaired children. Parents are involved closely with their children's education and are noted for the support they give to school teams playing in local tournaments. All children learn to swim while at the school. There is a Christmas performance every year. Older children can participate in one of many extra-curricular clubs, including football, computer and chess. The school exists to meet the learning needs of children through the effective delivery of the curriculum and aims to get the best for every child and the best from every child.
