Background:
Founded in 1858, the school is set in 'extensive' grounds which include a playground, playing field and wildlife area. The accommodation consists of three main classrooms, an assembly hall, a library, staff facilities, a kitchen and a dining room to seat 75 pupils. The school mainly serves the villages of Lubenham and Theddingworth and has 'strong links' with the local church which holds special events such as harvest festival, Christmas productions and concerts. Extra-curricular clubs include choir, music, gardening and a 'full range' of sporting activities. Fundraising events include barbecues, discos and car boot sales and are used to support various local and national charities including Children in Need, RSPCA, and St Luke's Hospice.
