The Lancaster School is a secondary school for boys. The age range of the pupils is 11 to 16. It occupies a large and attractive green-field site on a shared campus with Sir Jonathan North Community College. The playing fields are extensive and are augmented by a Sportshall and floodlit sports complex of six tennis courts and an all-weather games area. The school also runs an excellence programme for the gifted and talented pupils in the four target sports (rugby, football, tennis and basketball). The school aims to ensure that pupils understand that the best progress is made through commitment.
