Background:
Kirby Muxloe School is a co-educational primary school and is situated on the largely residential village of Kirby Muxloe. The school has excellent accommodation facilities with nine classrooms in the main building, kiln room, shared work areas, large hall and a new five-classroom block. Outdoor facilities include four playgrounds, front gardens, large school field, nature area and a car park. Throughout the year the school provides a wide range of extra-curricular activities at lunchtime and after-school. These facilities includes French, rounders, country dancing, chess, cricket, netball, athletics, cross-country, computers and German. Educational visits are also arranged to enhance the curriculum. The school aims to provide a working environment in which the children have the opportunity to become independent learners and to cooperate effectively as part of a group.
